Development of the construction of residential properties in České Budějovice

The aim of the theoretical part of my Master’s thesis is to summarize the historical evolution of building construction in České Budějovice, to process the summary of residential construction in each area of the city, and to describe current construction. There is described in my thesis how was the city of České Budějovice developing, varying and ramifying over time. In the practical part I did the analysis of the future construction using the survey among residents of České Budějovice and so future builders. Analysis determines the requirements for the type and location of the future construction, builders’ own building requirements. This thesis summarizes and describes the history and current construction. Also thanks to the practical part gives awareness about the direction of residential constructions in České Budějovice in the coming years.
Evaluation of historical building in Drnovice near Lysice

The thesis deals with evaluation of a chosen historical building, the former chateau with farmyard. The theoretical part provides bibliographic research focused on methodology of the research in immobile cultural monuments, history of the village of Drnovice and the construction development of the building. In the practical part, the examined building part is being analyzed from the urbanistic, technical and economic point of view. Furthermore, the field work took place and it led to elaborating a description of the actual state of the building. The above-mentioned together with historical research formed the base for developing a graphic evaluation of the research in immobile cultural monuments. The description is supplemented by two appendices, a drawing one and a photographic one.

The thesis addresses the monuments of Great Moravian church architecture and is based on the material accumulated during the past century. It analyzes the influence of different architectural styles, the hypotheses by different scholars and the existing contradictions between them. The thesis covers a selection of church buildings many of which possess a special spiritual value. Special attention is paid to the hypothesis of the construction date and architectural sources of Ste. Catherine church in Tamovice. Of special interest are the interviews and consultations with leading Czech and German researchers, historians and archeologists carried out while working on the thesis. Абстракт Настоящая работа посвящена памятникам церковной архитектуры Великоморавского периода и написана на основе материалов, собранных различными исследователями в течение последнего столетия. В работе анализируется влияние различных стилей на церковную архитектуру Великой Моравии, гипотезы отдельных ученых, а также существующие противоречия между ними. Автором подробно рассматриваются избранные памятники церковной архитектуры, многие из которых имеют особую духовную ценность. Construction Development of Kamenná Čtvrť in Brno

The article describes the development of the construction in former workers' colony Kamenná čtvrť in Brno. It explains the concept of gentrification, describes Kamenná čtvrť and its history. It analyzes the initial construction and its transformation over the years to the present. In the end, it discusses the possibility of development of construction in this type of locality, while it does not aim to propose direct solution but to point out possible direction of development. The methods used were history research, qualitative sociological research using the interview technique and questionnaire survey.

The archaeology at South Bohemian castles of the Lords of the Rose

The aim of the following thesis is to introduce the evolution of the medieval castle architecture in Europe, primarily in Bohemia. The main attention is focused on the South Bohemian district, the powerful noble stock Vítkovci and some of their residence castles. This thesis brings the basic overwiev of the family history and the construction development. The special emphasis is on an archaeological researches and their contribution to the observation of the construction development by the selected ancient monuments.
